UNEXPECTED DELAY

Needless to say, this wasn't planned. All because somebody was craving Chick-Fil-A (points accusingly at Ducky). A teenager driving his daddy's Camaro slammed on his breaks after looking up from his cell phone after thumbing through Tik-Tok videos to find the traffic stopped in front of him. I miraculously avoided the spoiled child's rear end but instead turned into the fender of a tanker truck beside me. In retaliation of the dent I left, the semi decided to tear off my fender and damage the passenger side suspension. Rude. This wasn't the best way to start off Christmas but somehow fitting for 2021.

Yet, we made the most of the extended visit with the family. Biked with mom and her new knees, solved all the world's problems with dad (forgot to write it all down, as usual), and treated myself to a barber visit and plenty of disc golf. It was a remarkable 70 degrees on Christmas Day and days later the sky dropped 6 inches of snow. Even though this delayed our departure for the camper adventure, it was a blast.

We finally headed back southeast at 7 AM on January 17th on snow-covered icy roads but surrounded by still, stunning beauty through the Ozarks. The plan was to drive 12 hrs back to Albany, GA, where the Flagstaff E-Pro was parked patiently waiting to be saddled up. We were still in a rental so we took it to a local RV Park (Albany RV Resort) where we will stay 2 weeks to wait for the truck to be repaired and prepare for the trip.

The conquest begins FEBRUARY 1st.
